Microneedling for Facial Scarring, Acne Scars, Fine Lines, Wrinkles & More!

Why SkinPen?

SkinPen results have been graded based on the G.Lemperle Wrinkle Assessment Scale, the Clinician's Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (CGAIS), and the Subject Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS). The research is clear.

SkinPen the first FDA-cleared microneedling device, but it's also made in the USA – which means it's rigorously tested for safety.

What Is Microneedling?

  • Microneedling (collagen induction therapy) has become one of the most popular skin care treatments performed today.

It involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles. It is a minimally invasive procedure.

The needling in the top layer of your skin helps stimulate your skin's healing process, so it produces more collagen and elastin. These proteins keep your skin firm and smooth.

  • You might consider SkinPen microneedling if you’re concerned about:

    Enlarged pores.

    Fine lines or wrinkles.

Loose or crepey (thin and wrinkled) skin.

Mild scars, especially those from acne or burns.

Skin discoloration or uneven skin tone.

    Stretch marks.

    Surgical scars.

  • Johanna will cleanse your skin and apply numbing cream.

At The Wright Allure, we chose the SkinPen. It is a Health Canada and FDA-approved medical microneedling device. It is safe and proven to deliver results.

To enhance results, SkinPen microneedling may be combined with the use of platelet rich plasma (PRP) and/or EXOSOMES.

Generally, patients notice tightening, and a more even tone to their skin two after their first session. For areas with deeper imperfections, results can be subtler, and additional treatments are usually required. Generally, a minimum of three sessions is required. The results should be maintained thereafter with annual treatments or more as needed.

There is no downtime after microneedling. Your skin may be red which may last up to 24-48 hours. You may also have a little swelling in some areas. A few days after your treatment your skin may become dry and start to flake. This is expected and a part of the healing process.
