Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is naturally abundant in human connective tissue. It is hydrophilic, meaning it attracts water. HA contributes to cell proliferation and migration, as well as tissue repair.

Dermal fillers are gels made from naturally occurring HA. Its mechanism of action is mainly through hydration. Today there are many HA gels and products with a variety of densities. The most appropriate product will be chosen for you.  All products used are Health Canada and FDA approved. All products used are 100% Certified Authentic.

What Can Dermal Fillers Treat?

Dermal fillers help to combat the aging process of the face. As we age we all lose collagen-filled HA. This results in reduced dermal hydration,  volume and structure causing an increase in lines, folds and sagging skin.  Also, excessive exposure to ultraviolet B rays causes cells in the dermis to stop producing HA.

Dermal fillers add volume to weakened facial features and can stimulate collagen growth. It will plump skin and gently lift the skin on your face. Dermal fillers are great tools for anti-aging as well as for augmentation. Dermal fillers can be used to change the shape and appearance of a specific area on the face if desired. For example, changing the shape and volume of the lips.
